Terms of Service
Effective date: 21 August 2026
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Filip Jantos ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of Slowmap (the "App"). By downloading, creating an account, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service
Slowmap is a travel-planning app that uses artificial intelligence to generate suggested trip itineraries based on the preferences you provide (destination, dates, transport, pace, interests, food preferences, accommodation, and notes). You can save, view, and modify plans, subject to the limits of your plan tier (Section 4).
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. You need an account to use the App. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and let us know of any unauthorized use.
3. AI-generated content — important disclaimer
Itineraries, place suggestions, tips, opening hours, travel times, and cost estimates are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are suggestions and a starting point for your own research — not professional travel advice, and not guarantees.
You are responsible for verifying important details before relying on them, including but not limited to: whether a place exists and is open, current prices and ticketing, opening hours, safety and entry requirements, visa and health requirements, transport schedules, and the suitability of any activity for you.
Cost estimates are estimates only. Budget figures shown in the App are approximations generated by AI based on general price levels; they are not quotes and actual prices will differ. Where the App later displays prices from third-party booking partners, those prices are set by the partner, not by us.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make, costs you incur, or losses you suffer in reliance on AI-generated content.
4. Free and paid tiers; subscriptions
Free tier. Without a subscription, you can generate one (1) trip plan of up to three (3) days and make up to two (2) modifications to it. Generating additional trips, planning longer trips, or making further modifications, requires a subscription. The free tier is supported by advertising (see Section 4a).
Advertising (free tier). The free version displays ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner, and a full-screen ad that may appear when you return to the App. The full-screen ad is subject to a daily limit and a minimum interval between appearances, which we may adjust. Ads are governed by our Privacy Policy and by Google's terms. Subscribing to Pro removes all ads.
Sharing a trip (Pro). With a subscription you can create a link to one of your trips. The link lets anyone who has it read that itinerary, with no account, and it can be forwarded by whoever you send it to — so share only what you are content for others to see. Your own entries (flights, accommodation, reservations) and your private notes are never part of a shared link. You remain responsible for what you choose to share, and you can turn a link off in the App at any time; sharing again afterwards produces a new link, and the earlier one stops working for good. Shared links work only while your subscription is active. If it ends, links you created stop opening — for you and for everyone you sent them to — and they do not come back if you subscribe again; you would create new ones. We may disable a shared link that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or the law.
Subscription (Pro). A subscription unlocks unlimited trip plans and unlimited modifications, subject to the fair-use limits below, longer trips, your own flights and bookings inside a plan, sharing a trip by link, and reading your saved trips with no internet connection. Current pricing is shown in the App before you purchase.
Offline access (Pro). Saved trips are stored on your device as well as in the cloud. On the free version you need an internet connection to open a saved trip; with Pro you do not. Reminders you have set up continue to work on both versions without a connection, because they are scheduled on your device in advance.
Fair use. "Unlimited" means unlimited for normal personal travel planning. Because each plan is generated by an AI service at real cost to us, we apply reasonable technical limits (for example, a cap on how many plans can be generated per hour or per day) to prevent automated, commercial, or abusive use. These limits are set well above ordinary use and are not intended to affect normal travellers. We may adjust them, and we will not use them to deny you the core benefit you paid for.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation. Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings; deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, and refunds are subject to Apple's policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.
Changes to pricing or tiers. We may change pricing or what each tier includes for future purchases. Changes will not affect a subscription period you have already paid for.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for unlawful purposes or to generate or seek unlawful, harmful, or abusive content;
- attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or the free/paid tiers (for example by automating requests, or sharing or reselling access);
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems;
- misuse the AI features, including attempts to extract other users' data or to interfere with the service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk or cost through abuse.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the trip inputs you provide. You grant us a limited licence to process that content to operate the App — including sending it to our AI provider to generate your plans — as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you enter and confirm you have the right to provide it.
The plans generated for you are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its design, and its underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App under these Terms. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the App except as allowed by law.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (including Apple, our hosting, AI, advertising and subscription providers). Your use of the App may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services. Where the App links out to third parties (for example, maps or, in future versions, booking partners), those services have their own terms and privacy practices.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update the App and these features over time.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your purposes.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or EUR 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including certain rights of consumers in the EU/EEA and Poland.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 7, 10, 11, and 13) will survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the App changes or as required by law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Apple-required note (App Store)
This App is made available through the Apple App Store. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
